The Old Purple metal keyring comes packaged in a black box which also contains a description about the car. The back is engraved with ‘Old Purple 1971 Ford Hairline ZD’.

Old Purple is a ZD model Ford Fairlane bought new by Slim Dusty and Joy McKean in December 1971. She soon became a familiar symbol of the Slim Dusty show and with her powerful 351 cubic inch, Cleveland V8 engine, travelled the length and breadth of Australia over the roughest roads and to the most remote corners. The speedo has turned over 3 times with a total mileage of 351,699.7 miles or 565,956.4 kms! Old Purple is now housed at the Slim Dusty Centre in Kempsey, Australia.
